| This gallery follows the progress of the new Health Hub, which is being built on the site of the former Albion Mill (check Albion Mill Demolition gallery for details of that). Work is taking place here from December 2008.
By the 10th of January 2009 almost the whole of the site was now surrounded by a large wooden fence, so this may well make taking pictures a lot more difficult until the building starts to gain some height - anyone know where I can get a pair of stilts? 
Forget the above comment, whilst visiting the site in February I noticed that they have now cut some observation holes in the fences on both sides of the site, so I now have a nice little spot to poke my camera through. I also discovered that the landing at the nearby 'Weaver's Cottage' also offers a nice aerial view of part of the site too. Work is progressing well, with a number of concrete constructions now appearing in the new floor, but sadly those nice little observation holes now have a yellow mesh across them, so not quite so useful now. By the 10th of March most of the main girderwork was in place, and we can now get a good idea of just how big this building will be. |
